I have put in new fuses and bulbs in my car and a new switch, but the brake lights still will not work. Every time you push on the brake petal it blows the fuse. What could be the problem?

More than likely you have a shorted brake light switch. Here is a guide that will help explain this switch:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-a-brake-light-switch-works

When you press the brakes if the switch is shorted then you are shorting the circuit directly to ground and it pops the fuse. Then the brake lights will stop working.

Please see the info below on how to replace this switch from the manual. Please run through this process and let us know if you have questions. Thanks
