If your saying the starter won't crank, see if there is a load on the starter circuit. Watch the headlites or dash lites-- dome lites or something, while you turn the key to crank. If the lites stay bright and no reaction, sounds like an open circuit to the starter.

Do you think the theft system is causing a problem, wipe off the pellet in the key or try a different key.
