1997 Chevy Lumina Fans

My fans stop working and was told that it might be the engine cooling temp sensor, well I did replace it and the fans worked like they should. I took it down town about 1 hour after I put it in and noticed the fans were now not working. Any advise would be helpful

Turn on the AC does the fans turn on now?

Suspect a short in the wiring of the harness or a loose/corroded connector that when you replaced the switch moved around enough for it to work for a bit.
