My car has a new battery and alternator. For the past 3 weeks sometimes the car will not start. If I get it jumped it's ok, But today I tried to start the car and I heard a clicking sound. All the lights came on and the radio. Shortly after the battery died. However I did find water in the trunk under the spare tire. The second time I had to get the car jumped one speaker stopped working and so did the clock. I need help.

Welcome to the forum, I'd have to make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good. When the problem occurs, watch the lites, do they react with the key in start position? Also, check the charging system.

I took the car to the repair shop to have the battery checked and they said that the terminal was loose so they tightened it. They also checked the electrical system and said that was fine.

I had a similar problem with my 96 Lumina. I guessed that possibly my key's little metal nubs were not connecting across the security loop. I got a new key with fresh nubs and haven't had a problem yet.
