My car crank earlier this morning. I tried to crank it later this evening and it wouldn't. I had the battery tested, hit the starter while trying to crank it, checked the fuses, took off the positive battery cable to reset the alarm, but still it would not crank. It is getting fire. So, what should I do? Never had a problem out of it.

I don't think this is happening the engine has to be cranking in order to produce the secondary voltages at the plugs

Do you mean it cranks over and refuses start or it won't crank over at all-which is which?
