1st check and test the crankshaft position sensor and then do a backpressure test on the exhaust system to rule out the Cat

Thru the oxygen sensor by a pressure gauge or disconnect the exhaust pipe on the exhaust manifold.

Could be a problem with the oxygen sensor/s or the Cat itself
