2001 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my faNS come on after the car is off, the temp gauge is below 140 dose not move I do not see a leak, and after a drive for about 25 min I notice the rad hose is soft kind of like not pressurized?Its a 3800 motor also the chek eng. Light came on

First, try replacing the thermostat. It may be stuck open. Second, take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer. If the light is on, there will be a trouble code stored in the computer to identify where the problem is coming from.
