2001 Chevrolet Impala car was over heating

My sisters car was over heating a lot so she had my uncle change the thermostat and replace the water pump with a new one and now it has stopped over heating but is leaking water from the muffler.

The car is still drive able so the motor can't be blown. Its just the water started leaking from the muffler after the water pump was replaced

If water is coming from the exhaust the head gasket is blown.
