How do I get my broken key out of my ignition?

On March 25, bluelightnin6 wrote a post to pnatcup, who also has a broken key problem. In the post he gives instructions for making an extraction tool from a hacksaw blade. I think it's worth a try. I suppose you could also use a jigsaw blade.
The post is labeled "2000 Chevy Impala" (not very descriptive) and it is about 12 posts from the bottom of page 1 of the Chevy Impala posts.
If it works, I'd suggest you send him a note of thanks.
