I just recently purchased a new 2010 Chevy Equinox LT, 4 cyl and I would like to change the engine oil and its filter. I understand that it has a reset procedure for when the oil is changed.

Please, could someone help me in case their are certain procedures relevant to the Equinox.

Changing the oil is a pretty straight forward procedure. Always save you receipts so that in the event you need warranty work done you have documentation. The oil monitor reset procedure is turn the ignition on engine off pump the accelerator pedal three times. You will see the change oil light flash. Once its done flashing turn the ignition off. Then start the vehicle. Be sure to check the oil level on level ground to ensure you have the correct amount of oil in the engine
