Engine Cooling problem
1989 Chevy Corsica Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have an 89 corsica 2.9 motor and it starts fine and runs for about
30 miles thin shuts off. It will start back up but, as soon as you put it in drive or reverse it shuts off again but, after you let it cool for about and hour it will start back up and drive again. Please help.

It sounds like a fuel pump problem, but I have some questions first. Is the check engine light on? Have you ever had the computer scanned for codes? Most parts stores will do it for free. And finally, has anyone ever checked the fuel pressure / volume?
