I changed the fuel pressure regulator and now car run but lots of white smoke. 3 gal per mile. Some people said cracked head gasket but no water is gone from radiator and engine does not run hot.

White smoke does sound like water leaking into a cylinder, maybe a gasket? If you have a faulty vacuum modulator, they will produce a nice cloud of smoke on start-up. It isn't pure white, but, you would probably also have trouble shifting gears.
