Hello, I am very new to this site and would like to say hello to everyone. Hello. I am not car smart at all. And I am driving my first standard car. Its a 5 speed and things were going great. I am not going hard on my car I dont care or do burn outs. But. For some reason now. When I start to drive my car. It doesnt want to go like it used to. When I first start to take off I can take my foot off the clutch completely and push in my gas. And go nowhere for a while. My motor sounds like its going to blow up the rpms are really high I am assusming.I dont have a guage. Even after I am out of 1st. Shifting between gears is the same problem, takes awhile before my car starts to accelerate. I have checked all my fluids and found ym oil to be low so I added some started my car and let it run though. And topped it up. When I tried to drive it again. It didnt help. One day on my way home from work before I added all the oil I had to pull my car over becuae smoke was coming from my motor. Can someone please tell me waht I can do or should do :(

It sounds like your clutch plates are almost completely fried, not an easy fix to do yourself if you aren't too knowledgeable about cars. It was probably on it's last legs and because you are new to driving a standard transmission, you've probably been dragging the clutch a bit and finished them off. My advice would be to find agood mechanic to do it. Not sure what the parts are worth but the labor should only be 2-3 hours.
