1989 Chevy Cavalier transmission doesn't shift after warmed

I have an 89 cavalier z24 with an a/t. When u first start out it shifts perfect, but after car warms up, it will not shift at all. What could cause this, thanks

Check fluid level with trans warm and in park, If ok then check kickdown cable, to see if it is streched/kinked.

Otherwise it may be a bad pump or convertor problem. Have it diagnosed at a trans shop, some have free diagnosis.
