Intermittent no start condition

When the no start condition occurs if you wait 5 minutes it will start normally. We have replaced the starter and ignition switch and have had no luck. What could the problem be?

I would try a new or different key. Most Camaro keys ( I think 1990 and newer) have a small security chip in them, over time the contacts on the chip wear out and do not make a good connection when starting. This will disable the starting system for 5 minutes, and the "security" light will stay on.
