This was my daughter’s car, ran great until a few months ago. My daughter went out to go to school and the car would not start. My daughter does not want to put up the money to fix the car. She wanted a new one so she went out and bought one. I took the car to the dealer and they found it had an electrical problem, the computer is not communicating with the fuel pump. If I would fix this problem in my car how much do you estmate it will cost

Hello I also have a vy 99 camaro witch comes with the 3.8 v6. Well one thing is if you want to save money dont buy the computer from the dealer because they r wolfs and will rip u off in the price just cus its new. You can get a refurbished computer wich will work fine from AUTO ZONE OR KRAGEN AUTO PARTS for round 100 bucks. They just need the numbers on ur original computer. If u dont have this auto parts stores just go online to kragen. Com or autozone. The computer is located in the right side of ur car passenger side in the engine compartment. Open ur hood and look to the left on the back where u see a squared looking metal thing with all kinds of wires goin in thats the computer. Take it out and get all the numbers on it to order ur computer hopefully the dealership diagnosed the car right then it should fix ur problem. The chevy dealer is gonna want bout 500 to 800 bucks or more for a computer so I dont know if u wanna spent that kind of money.I wouldnt. Any ways if the computer was not ur problem u can send it back to them and they will return ur money so its cool. Well I wish u luck.
