Drove car parked it. I came back to the car about 2 hours later to change the left front turn signal. When replacing the bulb I noticed a spark. After further investigation I found a naked spot in the brown wire going to the turn signal socket. The brown wire is the hot wire it is used for the daytime running lights. I split the wire and put a but connector on it and used heat shrink to seal it. Afterwards I continued with what I was originally doing. When done I tried to crank the car but there was no respnse I noticed that my dash lights didn't work except for the turn signal lights. All other things like interior and exterior lights work. Also the automatic headlights don't work. I can turn the headlights on by the headlight control and they work. Now I can Only assume the wire made contact with the frame and when that happened it shorted something out. I also noticed that the bell doesn't sound when the key is in the ignition or if the headlights are left on but it will sound of you hit the lock button To let you know your keys are in the ignition. So I'm with no dash lights and no start or crank (no sound whatsoever when the key is turned)

Check fuses under hood and in car. If dash lights still don't work have scanned for a body module problem.

I've checked all the fuses and everything seems to be okay. I'm not trying to have the vehicle towed anywhere. Is there anything else that could be done?

Try another key if you have it as the diode may be shot in yours. Check the fusible link in pic should have 12volts each side. Then you'll have to get it scanned for body or drl module.
