The car wont start and the security light comes on because of the alarm on it? Is there some kind of trick you have to do to start the car because of the security system

Hi:
If this is a factory alarm system, chances the resister in the key is bad or the sensor in the steering column is bad. The only way to be sure is to have it checked at a dealer where they have the proper test equipment.
