1978 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 78 camaro that when driving you can feel and hear a tapping or rattling that sounds like it is coming from the front drivers side under the car. You can feel it in the accelerator pedal and in the floor of the car. It seems to go away or atleast not be as noticable when the car is under acceleration but very noticable if coasting or holing a steady speed. I raised the wheels off the ground and the wheel seems to have a little play in it if you push and pull it but noticed no noise when spinning the wheel by hand. What gives?

I would check out your wheel bearings on that side. Simply spinning the tire by hand is no comparison to the forces generated by driving down the road. Make sure your axle bearlng nut torqued correctly. To tight is just as bad as to loose.
