My full-size blazer starts very hard after it sits for a while. Especially when its cold. It always starts though. After it starts it idles fine for about 5-10 seconds then it starts jumping around like it is missing and wants to die. After a couple minutes, it comes to a smooth idle and runs great! If I just start it and go right away it does fine too, but that is too hard on the motor when it is cold. Fuel injectors? Pump? Filter? Egr valve?

Sounds to me like your coolant temperature sensor is going bad, you should replace that and see how it goes.
