1993 Chevy Blazer blue smoke only when I first start up

When I start my vehicle, cold start, I get a cloud of blue smoke, goes away immediately, does not smoke going down the road. What is causing this, has low mileage for its years.

Your problem is bad valve seals. They have updated the seals to prevent this. Its about a 4 hour job and about 50 in parts but it can run like that forever and not really cause a problem. They actually recalled the seals in 93 or 94 because I worked for gm then and replaced about a hundred sets of valve seals in that engine. Hope this helps
