I was driving my Astro Van and all of a sudden it quit running like it was out of gas. Now it will not start. No prior problems in the past. No check engine light came on.

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If that check out, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one.

To check for spark, pull a spark plug wire loose, use known good spark plug or spark tester in the boot. Ground metal part of tester to metal part of engine, engine cranking, watch for spark.
