Van won't start, ignition lights will not come on when key is turned

When the key is in the ignition, chiming is intermitted and when key is turned ignition lights do not come on and the van does not start. Please help

Have you had the battery tested?Made sure the battery cables are clean and tight?ALso do you have a multimeter to do some testing?

Have had the battery tested and bought a new one. I do not have a multimeter - do you have a cheaper suggestion? A guy from Canadian Tire said to remove the Chime module? Ive googled it and there is not much literature regarding that.

I would say on a van that new the body control module controls the chime and there wouldnt be a seperate chime module. Also you need a multimeter to trace power etc. Multimeters are cheap there alot cheaper then taking it to a shop.
