When the ignition switch was replaced was it reprogramed to work?

Will it crank in neutral, does the radio work? Warning lights come on when key is turned to on?

How do you have them programed, and is there a anti theft anything that would keep it from working since he banged it up so bad. Without replacing the whole steering colum, because my understanding is now that it is not possible to put an ignition switch back where the other one was, is there any way to get fire and get it to crank without it.I am so desperatly upset and I dont no what to do. The colum is unlocked beecause it was brutalized, so is there any any way to get it going, please.

Since the wheel is unlocked, you could choose to hot wire the vehicle if you dont want to replace the column, although I dont suggest doing it.

The switch is what makes everything happen, is the theft light on? If not thats not affecting it.

I can dig you up a diagram if you want to go through with the hotwire.
