Even if the battery is new, you need to make sure it has a good charge. Make sure all wires and cables coming from both battery posts are clean and tight.

If your saying the headlites don't work, the feed to the headlamp switch is hot all the time, comes from fusible link at battery junction, follow the smaller wire from the + battery posts. One way to test a fusible link, if it has voltage coming in one side, there should be voltage going out the other side.

The smaller purple wire at the starter solenoid should be hot with the key in the crank position. If you do any testing at the starter solenoid, make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the e-brake is set.
