Check electrical system shows up on dash

So my van just out the blue says check electrical system then loses all power to the cab including turn signal and brake and headlights. Then wouldn't accelerate more than 10 mph. If you tried to accelerate the van would try to stall out but as you let off the acceleration it would try to go. Now won't start.
