My vehicle will not turn over. I try turning it on and it sounds like it's trying so hard but can't. Every now and then it feels like the fuel does ignite but only for a second. The fuel pump turns on, it has new spark plugs, ignition coils should be fine. It has one new ignition coil that I have swapped around with the others to see if that works. Before it decided to not crank anymore I had to pump the pedal to get it to turn over. Now that wont work. Battery is fine, fuses are fine too. Air filter is good. I'm not sure what's going on with it.

Hello, I'm Danny.

It sounds like it might be a weak/faulty fuel pump even though you hear it on. My first suggestion is to test the fuel pressure. If you don't have access to a tester your local auto parts store have a tool loaner program and can rent you one. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved on how to do so:

While cranking the engine over observe the readings and get back to us.With engine actually running at idle the specification should be 51 p.s.i. for your car.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
