Looks like a guide pin or something I dont see anything holding it in.

I got the subframe off, the transmission mounts disconnected. The 3 bolts from the flex plate removed. The 5 bolts removed from the engine. The linkage bracket is removed. The link is also removed. CV axles are out. I cant think of anything that I missed?

Get a bright light and look all around the bell housing. It may be stuck on a dowl but be sure before you pry at it.

No, but whatever it is, is on the back side of the motor toward the firewall.

Check this video it show a transmission on a front wheel drive comes out. Different car the process is the same.

I took a light and look around it but whatever it is, it looks like a circle I'm so confused right now because it looks like something in that area would be what's hold on because everything separated but in that area

I believe those bolts are 18 mm Heads. You may need a 36 inch extension to reach back there for that bolt

Ok I got frustrated and stopped working on the car for tonight. I found this image of I believe a grand prix with the 5.3., I just don't know how im going to get to that 6th bolt and I tried a 15mm wrong it was to small and a 17 seemed to slip right over it. But with the little room I have it looks like its not even a bolt or it is rounded, unless im looking at it wrong could it be going from the engine side to the transmision? Nvm I think I understand im just being stupid I missed the bolt going from your diagram bolt number 1 going from engine to transmission, wow just taking the time to look at the diagram would have save me a lot of time

By chance do you know where the vacuum lines are on this car after moving the engine and transmission around a plastic nipple fell off from some where I will have to look over the engine but I'm guess it came from a vacuum line or coolant overflow
