Hi, my car is listed above spec in other country it is known by Nissan Cefiro. Problem is today suddenly my car start vibrate in stop signal and if I accelerate the car also vibrate until first gear is changed. But if I put the gear in N while idle vibrate stop other things which I notice is during vibrate rpm is stable not shaking at all and when I switch off the car and restart it again the vibration is gone. So I want to know what was the problem?

Hi,

Is the check engine light staying on or flashing when the engine is running? It sounds like a misfire. If it is, you should start by scanning the computer. I don't know if you have a scanner, but here is a quick video showing how it is done:

Additionally, here is a link that discusses common causes for this type of issue. Take a look through it and let me know if it helps.

I will watch for your reply.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

The check engine light is not flashing, well today I did very long route on motor way if I maintain a speed of between 80 to 110 km/h sometime suddenly feel like misfire but if I give more acceleration car run well. I don't know if it's related to fuel because since I bought the car I always put regular fuel there was no issue but when I mix up premium fuel from petrol pump because of regular fuel not available then I parked the car with no issue but the next day when I drive 20 km to reach my work the problem started I just realized today this misfire started after refueling with premium fuel.
So what do you think now? I need your opinion because I went for service stations all fluid level are on level coil are good spark plug was changed a month ago originally from Nissan all good fuel pump not checked. But do you think it can be happening because of putting wrong type fuel?

Hi,

The fuel you used shouldn't cause this unless it was contaminated. If you are considering it could be the fuel, run it and then refill with the same thing you always used and see if the problem goes away.

It can also be related to a bad motor mount. Were they checked as well?

Hi,

Yes you are right It not a fuel type issue
Yesterday I was about to empty and I refuel with the regular which I normally use before and went on long drive the problem is still there there is no check engine light if I accelerate 3 to 4 rpm's whether the car is idle or on highway missing stops and come back if I decrease acceleration.
Well don't think it's a mounting because I myself check the exhaust while missing the gas is not passing as it should be passing before from the tail.

Hi,

just came from a workshop no code in computer, but we read the sensor data what we noticed is fuel trim S1 s2 l1 l2. There is issue in s2 when it go positive 10% the car start missing pumping gas pedal during that time one or two times the value on s2 drop back from 10% and engine run smooth. But after some time it's coming back and going cycle. The work shop guys don't know what to look for the cause of this problem. So do you have any idea about it what to look for exactly?

Hi,

I'm glad you got it fixed. A misfire was my first suspect, that's why I asked about the engine light and if it was flashing. I'm surprised it wasn't if in fact there was a misfire. Regardless, I'm glad it's running good again. Feel free to come back anytime.

Take care,
Joe
