Car turns over but does not fire up

I've had a mechanic look at my car and He didn't find anything wrong with it. I was having problems with it firing up. It would crank over but would not fire up. I was wondering if it could be the key?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

If the key or anti theft is an issue, there will be a light on the dash indicating security which stays on all the time. If there isn't, did he check things such as fuel pressure, spark, injector issues?
