2002 Buick Century 90000 miles

My car was jumped yesterday by the tow truck driver and started right up, but when I tried jumping with another car it would not start. We drove the car home and let it sit for about a half hour and turned it off, when we tried to start it again we got nothing no lights or anything. Like it was totally drained. The auto parts store checked the battery and said that it was fine. The car was acting fine all day and then I went in store for 2 minutes came out and it would not start. When I was sitting there, I put the key in and had the door open it didn't ding but every once in awhile I could hear a faint dinging like it should do when the door is open. What is going on?

I'd start looking for a poor connection. IF that battery is original. REPLACE IT!
