It shuts off and almost immediately turns back on. However, it turns over a few times before starting as if I were out of gas. It started about a month ago and seems to happen more often as time goes by.

Hi,

Does it always restart, or do you have to wait for a period of time?

Also, is the check engine light staying on while the engine is running? If it is, have the computer scanned and let me know the codes that are retrieved. Most parts stores will do this for you free of charge.

Additionally, it could be a fuel pressure-related issue. If the check engine light is not on and you don't need to wait to restart, we need to check fuel pressure.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Also, here is a link you may find helpful:

Let me know as much as you can.

Take care,

joe

I tested a couple things yesterday and my check engine light doesn't come on at all. It shut off while parked and I had A/C running. While driving it felt like it was going to shut off several times but did not stall out.

Hi,

It sounds like a weak fuel pump. I have a question. By chance, when you are at an idle does the idle speed change up and down? If that is the case, it could be related to a faulty or dirty idle air control valve (IAC). The IAC is what is responsible for maintaining idle speed. Take a look through this link:

Let me know your thoughts.

Take care,

Joe

No, it doesn't idle high at all it just starts feeling like it's running out of gas kind of or like if I was a beginner driver and stalling out from not pushing in clutch lol. That's the best way I can describe it. Hopefully it makes sense, haha.
