2001 honda accord v6. Lately when the car is hot and I try to start it,
it would start but stall and die right away, if I gave it a little gas the car won't die
and if I let it go then it'll die. If I give it enough gas hold it long enough then the car
would idle fine and drive perfect. While I hold the gas down (4k rpm) it seem like
some of the coil are not firing causing the motor to shake, but after 20 sec of giving it gas itll idle fine and drive fine. I replaced new plugs and still same problem. It use to only happen once a month. Now every time I stop somewhere to get something. The car starts in the cold evey time. Could it be the coil. Fuel pump, car have 272k mile

Hi comeunseen,

Seems the idling speed is too low and I would suggest cleaning the throttle body and IAC.

If you have coolant losses and overheating issues, then it could be bad news, a bad head gasket causing compression leaks at cold engine.

No the coolant does not leak at all, and the car fire right up in the coolest weather. When the car get hot or to normal temperature and you leave to go inside the store, when you come out to start it 20 min later, the car stall and die on the first couple time you tried to start the engine. It use to be once in a while that this happen but now its like every time. What do you think it can be. Can it be the coil? But the car drive prefect
beside the hot start.

Get the idling speed checked.

Cleaning the throttle body and IAC would be recommended. Dirty IAC and throttle would affect the idling speed.

If the Check Engine Light is indicating, get a free scan done at Autozone and let me know the exact trouble codes.
