Car not pulling low RPM

If there is a major loss of power, my first suspect is always a plugged catalytic converter restricting exhaust flow from the engine. Take a look through these links. If you are able to test it, let me know the results. I will also say that often times when the converter is plugged, it will basically overheat and glow red hot, so you can look for that symptom also.
