Hello Bill,

This can be the BCM, instrument cluster, remote control lock receiver or a bad fuse #BCM 2, 3, 4, and 5. So let's check the fuses first here is a guide to help and the fuse locations in the images below I have also included the wiring diagrams for the lock system so you can see how it works.

If all of the fuses are good, we should do a CAN scan, you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

Here is a list of CAN scanners starting at about $25.00 on Amazon:

It sounds like to me that the BCM is out which you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. I have also included the location of the BCM and how to replace it as well. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hello Ken, sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner. The first thing that I did was to take a look at the electric switches on the door panel. The first thing I noticed was that the lock door switch was in the lock position. I tried to push the switch to the unlock position, but it didn’t want to move. I kept pushing on the switch until it finally moved to the unlock position, that is where I left it. I then tried the key remote to lock and unlock the car doors, now the car door locks are working fine. My guess, is that the lock/unlock switch is going bad. What do you think? Sincerely, Bill Hewitt
