In the past it would backfire when I hit passing gear. Recently it has been hesitating when I accelerate. It also makes a rattling noise until I let off of the gas. It threw a code saying it was a faulty cam shaft position sensor bank2. I replaced the sensor but problem persists. I am going to change plugs and coils next weekend. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Do you still have a check engine light on? Also, if you can shoot a quick video of the engine noise and upload it here I can tell you exactly what the noise is.

Please let us know.

Cheers, Ken

I tried to make a video while driving and one sitting idle after I got home. Quality probably is not the greatest. Thanks in advance for your time.

Thanks for the videos they really help. Because of the pulsing out of the exhaust pipe it sounds like you may have a burnt valve. From the first video right at the end I thought I heard a timing chain issue like a guide let go but will need more engine running video to be sure. (give it a quick rev)

I would first read the codes to see which cylinders are effected. Then remove the spark plugs to check their condition. Then I would roll a compression gauge into each for the cylinders and take readings.

Here are tow guides to help us find out whats going on:

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
