I drive perfectly no issues I parked my car, when I came back the ignition switch just lights the gauges but no crank or starter sound; just won't do anything. I only hear a click under the glove compartment that I guess is the fuel pump relay. The car was moved put in neutral, wont do anything, wont crank. Everything works, like lights windows etc, just wont crank. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hi,

Is the anti theft light staying on or flashing? If not, the first thing we need to do is check the starter itself. Take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/starter-not-working-repair

Next, I attached the wiring schematic for the starter. I had to cut the pic in half to make it readable, but I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

What I will need you to do is this. On the starter motor, there will be a black/red wire going to the solenoid. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check that wire for power. It should receive 12v when the key is in the start position only.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
