Car halts/hesitates in 2nd gear

Hi,

Recently my car has been accelerating poorly (hesitating) when in 2nd gear but then accelerates normally about 4 seconds later and drives normally. This only happens when the car is started from a cold start (eg early morning before work & also after work).

I had my local mech take a look at it but could not find any issues. Can you please advise if you can pin point to what could be causing this issue please?

Further more to my post above, I have also noticed that the oil light flashes non stop when I have come to a stop after driving more than 10 minutes, and disappears when the throttle is accelerated. Can this be related?

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge first check for a vacuum leak as well. We have no info on this car as it's not in US
