Van will not start

Van will not engage in gear to start. Battery is completely charged. Every once in a while (maybe happened three to four times in the past couple years) it has hesitated to start but once you 'jiggle' the gear shift it starts and runs fine.

Good morning.
Tthere is a cable that runs from the transmission selector to the transmission. It needs to be adjusted to a specific point. When it is out of adjustment it will do this issue you currently are experiencing.
Have the cable checked to be sure. It may be as simple as an adjustment.
