2002 Other Cadillac Models Blue Smoke

Please help. The car blows blue smoke, shakes or"studders", and sometimes will cut off on me at a stop. I have taken the car to the repair shop numerous times with the same problem but because there is no "code" for them to check, they cant help me.

Is the oil level overfull? Blue smoke usually indicates burning oil. Check the oil level, if your not sure have it drained and filled. It holds no more than 8 quarts. Has it had a history of oil consumption at an abnormal rate(other than external leaks)?
