The dash board cluster flat lines (all read outs) and a check engine message appears. Then the heat maxes out at 90 degrees and the blower turns on. It stays this way for a minumum of 10 minutes. Restarting the engine doesnt make a difference. I have replaced the cluster three times. Please tell me how to stop this.

This is most likely a short in the wiring, though you could have a bad contact or cut wire that's giving a very high resistance in the circuit.

If you're handy with a multi-meter, you can track it down. If not, you'll have to take it in.

If you want to try tackling this project yourself, write back in and I'll try hunting down a wiring diagram. But I can't promise you that I can.

You could also buy a repair manual from AutoZone or Napa. These will have a wiring diagram, but I'm not sure if it'll supply the values for the circuits.
