1985 Cadillac EL Dorado Engine

At times my car revs up and down at a light, after I start it or when it is in park. But still mostly rides very well, what is my problem?

Hi:
Most likely it's the Idle Air Control unit (IAC), or the throttle positioning sensor (TPS). Take it to a nationally recognized auto parts store and have them scan it for codes. Most stores will do it for free, and if there is a stored code, you'll know for sure what to replace.
