This problem is kind of hard to describe because I was driving my car on a gravel road and the battery light came on and the my car died and would not start after that, we have changed the alternator and also checked the battery but still can't figure out what is wrong. Please help?

Does the engine turn over and not start the engine? Or does the engine not turn over when you turn the key?

Here is a guide that will help with this:

I suspect if the engine is turning over that we haven a spark or fuel issue. Basically we need to start with checking the fuel pressure and see what it is and we can go from there.

If the fuel pressure is low then this will cause the issue. If this is the case then there could be an issue with the PCM as that would explain the charge light as well as the PCM controls this system as well.

Take a look at the wiring diagram below and we need to check the relay control from the PCM and make sure it is grounding the relay.

If not then the PCM is most likely the issue.

Please run through this info and let me know what questions you have. Thanks
