OK, follow me on this one. If I drive a long time and my "Low Fuel" light comes on, I stop for gas. After getting gas the car will not turn over until it cools down for about 15 mins. This happened twice in the last cpl weeks.
This problem seems to coincide with the higher heat of this summer. I didn't hve this problem at all during the winter.
I did have a similiar problem 18 months ago and the car would start right away with a jump. I haven't had a problem since replaciing the battery. Until this month.

Sounds like it may be a hot starter issue. Sometimes when hot, the solenoid wont engage the starter motor, or the motor wont turn. Best bet is to test the small wire on the starter solenoid for power when key is in crank position, but it wont crank. If it has power at the small wire and the pos cable, the starter is bad

I sounds like the starter is running, but the engine just won't turn over. It sounds like it could be the solenoid not engaging the motor. But why would this happen only after "low fuel" status?

I want to clarify one thing. When it wont start, is the engine turning? If not but the starter motor is spinning it may be the solenoid not engaging the flywheel. Im not sure about thelow fuel situation
