Hello all! I am hoping to get some help with what could possibly
be wrong with my vehicle before I bring it in to get looked at.
I am a female with not much knowledge about vehicles and want to
do my best in gathering as much information as possible so as
not to get "ripped off" by anyone.

My vehicle is a 2002 Buick Rendezvous CXL AWD 3.4 liter V-6. I
believe that is correct.

I parked my car last night, everything was working great. This
morning I put the key in and tried to turn it over and all I
hear is a aloud clicking noise. I checked all my lights and they
are all working including the stereo. I attempted to jump it
with my other vehicle and did that for about an hour and still
the same clicking noise. No changes.

Anyone have any suggestions or advice? I would really appreciate
it! Thanks!

Malina

--- Should I have left it jumped overnight? Is an hour not enough time?

It sounds like the battery is bad, sometimes when you jump them it will not help. Try to change the battery out first.

If no results then you can try to change the relay in the under hood electrical center. replace the starter relay with another relay that is the same, they are marked and there are a couple that you can do that with.

If you get the same results, if you have a helper with you try to start it and tap the side housing of the starter with a hammer if you have one. If it starts then you are going to need another starter or at least get to a garage to have them check it.

Please let us know what happens, we are interested to see what it is.
