Won't crank

I have a 1981 buick regal with a medium milege and a 6 cylinder engine. It went dead while driving and now won't crank. Good battery and getting fuel. I'm thinking it's not getting fire. I haven't messed with cars since 1976 and don't know it the car has points, condenser or coil. I can't afford to have it towed and fixed and would like to try it myself' thanks for any help and a donation will be pending upon help for my problem. Thanks.

You have no crancking problem.
My question is:
No cranking, lights bright stay?
No cranking, light dim significantly?
No cranking lights dim slightly?
No cranking, lights out?
Or
No cranking, no light.
Give me one answer out of this, so I can help.
