1992 Buick Regal stop running

Electrical problem
1992 Buick Regal V8 130000 miles

When I crank the car it cranks just fine, I drive to work everyday and its about 5 miles sometimes it works fine but sometimes when I stop at a red light it will just turn off with no warning and when I go try to crand it again it turns over alot but finally after a few punps on the gas pedal it will crank back up what is the problem
