The transmission just started sliiping. I changed the fluid and add some Lucas nonslip. How long should I drive the car to know if this is the cure.

Sorry to say but if transmission is slipping already I don't think Lucas or any other brand will fix your transmission. Usually slipping is sign of internal problem with transmission.I would not drive to far with it. Good luck I hope I am wrong and Lucas is the magic fix.

Funny! I havent been back to this site since I posted the above question over a year ago. That buick's transmission slipped and got worse for a week(hardly moving). Then one cooold morning I started it up and it has never slipped again. Has anybody ever heard of this happening? I grew up in a body shop and never heard of any such event? I have packed another 30k miles on it this year.
