I have a 1995 buick century with 72,000 miles. V-6 with 3.1 engine. Had it scanned and showed the camshift sensor was bad. Where is it located and does it have anyhting to do with the A/C?

Bobby.

That camshaft sensor is located under the power steering pump. The wires for it run up and plug in on the front of the otor right by the oil cap. If you have an intake that is leaking oil it will soften those wires and that is what causes the problem.I dont think it has anything to do with the a/c but if it is setting a code maybe that code disables the compressor.
