1999 Buick Century options

My transmission has appeared to have quit. Can it be something else? What are my options for repair, other than replacing it?

Rebuild is between 1500 and 2000. Check your trans fluid first. Sometimes changing the filter helps, sometimes it does not. Did ou trans go all of a sudden, or was it slipping before?
